Last updated 7 September 2026. Information on MAI comes from the provider's publicly available sources, retrieved on 7 September 2026. We review this page regularly.

The short answer

MAI is a US provider out of San Francisco that runs Google and Meta campaigns largely autonomously through AI agents, aimed at growing D2C brands, with no published price list: you start with a demo call and a contact form. Cloudginny is a Google Ads specialist for small and mid-sized online shops selling into German-speaking markets, with prices published from 149 US dollars, an interface and support in German and English, and an approval model rather than full automation.

In short: MAI suits larger D2C brands that want to hand over Google and Meta together and do not mind a sales process. Cloudginny suits shops that take Google Shopping seriously, want to decide for themselves, and would like to know the price before they talk to anyone.

Pricing in detail

Cloudginny publishes its prices: Starter 149, Premium 349 and Pro 699 US dollars per month by average ad spend, with Enterprise from 1,200. Paying annually takes 10 percent off, there is no setup fee and no minimum ad spend, and Microsoft Advertising is available as a paid add-on. The Starter plan includes AI-driven campaign creation, the Ginny agent, one-tap optimisations, in-app alerts, campaign management, a performance dashboard with CSV export, a daily performance digest by email, and email and chat support with a response time of up to 72 hours on working days.

MAI names no figures on its pricing page. What it advertises is a start at zero dollars with no setup fee and no lock-in, with the actual terms arriving through a demo call. All plans include a dashboard, recommendations, platform integrations, activity logs and priority support.

Put plainly: a price comparison is not possible here, and that is itself the information. If you want to know quickly what a tool costs per month, you get that from our pricing page and from MAI in a conversation. Whether that counts against them depends on how much you like negotiating, because individually agreed terms can work out cheaper at larger budgets than a fixed list. For a sense of what advertising and management cost in total, see Google Ads costs for online shops.

Where MAI is the better choice

On Google and Meta from one place. MAI covers both major channels; Cloudginny deliberately covers Google and Microsoft only. If a meaningful share of your budget runs on Meta and you want both optimised together, we are the wrong tool.

On larger budgets with a service expectation. MAI positions itself explicitly as an alternative to an agency or an in-house team and works with growing D2C brands. If you fit that profile, you get a provider built for that scale.

On full delegation. MAI optimises continuously on its own. If you want to hand over the account entirely and only look at results, our approval model will feel like an extra step.

Where Cloudginny is the better choice

On price transparency. You can see what it costs before you register, and you can trial it for seven days without speaking to sales. That draws on our own analysis of Shopping and Performance Max campaigns in German-speaking markets, more than 1.8 million clicks between August 2025 and July 2026.

On Google Shopping and the Merchant Center. Ginny builds Shopping and Performance Max campaigns, reads disapproved products with the reason, reports new disapprovals daily at six in the morning, and creates promotions. For an online shop that is the revenue core.

On control. Budgets, bids, campaign status, product and brand exclusions and location targeting are applied only after you approve them with a click, and the lock sits in the code. Reversible safety measures such as excluding expensive search terms run immediately and land in the action log. No background process changes your account of its own accord.

On language, accountability and legal framework. Interface and support in German and English, a German company based near Munich, a data processing agreement with logged acceptance, an external data protection officer, data processing in the EU.

On smaller budgets. Cloudginny starts at zero ad spend with no minimum. MAI targets growing brands, so for a shop with a four-figure monthly budget the fit is more likely with us.

Switching and getting started

With Cloudginny you connect your Google Ads account in the setup assistant and, for Shopping, your Merchant Center, after which the first analysis starts automatically. Your ad account stays in your ownership, so there is no migration and no handover, which makes a parallel test straightforward. In practice that takes about two minutes up to the connection, and the first analysis then starts on its own.

Contract, cancellation and what happens afterwards

The minimum term is one month, you can cancel monthly, and the first seven days are free. If you cancel, nothing happens to your ad account: the campaigns keep running, and every optimisation Ginny proposed and you approved stays in place. There is nothing to unwind and nothing to export, because nothing ever moved into somebody else's system.

Frequently asked questions

What does MAI cost compared with Cloudginny?

MAI publishes no prices; you start with a demo call. Cloudginny names its prices publicly: 149, 349 and 699 US dollars per month depending on ad spend, with Enterprise from 1,200.

Does Cloudginny support Meta Ads?

No. Cloudginny runs Google Ads and, as a paid add-on, Microsoft Advertising. Meta, TikTok and Amazon are deliberately out of scope. MAI covers Google and Meta.

What size of shop is Cloudginny built for?

Small and mid-sized online shops. The Starter plan begins at zero ad spend, and there is no minimum budget and no setup fee. MAI targets growing D2C brands.

Can I test both in parallel?

Yes, there is nothing technical stopping you, as long as two tools are not changing the same account at the same time. For a clean comparison, only one system should be making changes.

Does my Google Ads account stay mine?

Yes. Cloudginny works through a link to your own account, and you can disconnect it at any time. MAI likewise states on its site that customers own their ad accounts.
