Google Merchant Center Consulting

Products disapproved in Merchant Center? We find the cause.

Missing GTINs, price mismatches, variants that never reach Google. We look inside your Merchant Center, group the disapprovals by cause instead of by message, and on request fix straight away whatever can be fixed there. Fixed price, and nobody has to touch your inventory system.

Why now

Plenty of shops are seeing their feed for the first time in years.

With the Content API switched off, many merchants are currently rebuilding how their products reach Merchant Center. Migration is the moment things surface: items that never shipped out, attributes left empty, categories never mapped. The feed was rarely broken. It was simply never checked.

A disapproved product is an invisible product

It never shows in Shopping, it earns no impressions, and it costs nothing either. Which is exactly why nobody notices the revenue that goes missing.

The rules got stricter in 2026

Images from 500×500 pixels, shipping data at product level, separate product IDs for online and local. Feeds that ran fine for years suddenly fail.

Nobody has time to work through it

Between orders, marketplaces and your team there is no fixed slot for reading diagnostics. So it stays on the pile, often for years.

Typical cases

Six situations we run into again and again.

If one of them sounds like your account, the rest of this page was written for you.

Your shop holds more products than Google shows

A classic export problem: child items never make it into the feed, so Google only sees parent items. And those often carry no GTIN, because they are not really sellable articles.

Hundreds of red warnings, none of them readable

The most common reasons are missing GTINs, price mismatches between shop and feed, and missing shipping costs. The messages tell you what is wrong, never why.

The account is suspended and Shopping has stopped

Usually a mismatch in price or shipping cost between account and website. There is no phone number to the review team, only correction plus a request for re‑review.

Ten sizes in stock, one shown on Google

Variants are the least forgiving part of any feed: no GTIN per variant, attributes like size, colour and age group unmapped, and the rest quietly disappears.

The budget runs, but nobody steers it

Everything in a single campaign, no custom labels, no segmentation by margin or performance. Slow movers get the same bid as your bestsellers.

3,000 errors and no running order

Every analysis spits out thousands of messages. Nobody works through that. What is missing is not another list, it is a ranking by revenue impact.

Pricing

Three steps, each at a fixed price.

No timesheets, no renegotiation. You know the cost up front, and we know the scope up front.

Hands‑on implementation in Merchant Center

Optional with any audit: we apply the measures instead of merely recommending them. Feed rules, supplemental feeds, attribute mapping, category assignment and exclusions get set. You end up with a result, not a PDF.

+ $890
With the large audit: + $1,490. Available only alongside an audit.

All prices are net and exclude any applicable tax. The feed check is credited in full if you book an audit within 30 days. The included Cloudginny months cost nothing extra and can be declined: turn them down and you pay exactly the same price. We deliberately take on a limited number of audits per month so every analysis stays thorough. You pay for the feed check online and the invoice follows automatically. Audits are invoiced after the intro call.

Hands‑on implementation

An audit that only recommends improves nothing.

Most typical feed problems can be solved inside Merchant Center, without anyone touching your inventory system. That is the part we take on if you want it.

The rules get set, not suggested

Missing attributes, weak titles, GTIN gaps, wrong categories: a lot of that can be fixed with supplemental feeds and feed rules inside Merchant Center. It is the work a merchant is least likely to manage alone, and it lands fast. Disapprovals often drop within days.

Afterwards the change is visible. Instead of a list of recommendations you get a before and an after, with numbers from your own account.

What we set
Feed rules
Supplemental feeds
Attribute mapping
Category assignment
Product and brand exclusions
Shopping and PMax settings
Before we change anything, we export the current state. Every rule we set is documented and has a way back. We still give no promise of results: we set the rules correctly, what Google makes of them is Google’s call.
A clear line

What we touch, and what we explicitly do not.

Feed problems live in one of two places. We only work in one of them, and we say so up front rather than afterwards.

WhereWhat gets solved thereWho does it
Inside Merchant Center Feed rules, supplemental feeds, attribute mapping, category assignment, exclusions, settings for Shopping and Performance Max We do
Inside your shop and inventory system Master data, maintaining GTINs, product copy, category structure, images, the shop system’s export settings You or your service partner
If an audit shows that data quality is already off at the source, you get a precise work order for your team or your agency: which fields, which items, which format. For JTL shops we work alongside WebStollen on exactly that part.
How it runs

The analysis is finished before we ever speak.

No meeting where we discover together what is going on. The meeting is the handover of finished work.

1

Access

You invite us into your Merchant Center and Google Ads through the normal user management. No new account, no credentials over email.

2

Analysis

We work through a fixed checklist: diagnostics, disapprovals with reasons, feed quality, title and attribute coverage, GTIN gaps, account structure.

3

Prioritisation

Findings are sorted by revenue impact, not by error count. The items carrying most of your potential sit at the top of the list.

4

Handover

90 minutes with finished work on the table. On request we implement whatever is solvable in Merchant Center right afterwards.

Honestly

What you will not get from us.

In a sales conversation this list matters more than the feature list. It protects the fixed price, and it protects you from false expectations.

The questionOur answer
“Will you rewrite our 3,000 product descriptions?”No. Copywriting at that scale is not a consulting product. We deliver the title scheme, the writing happens on your side.
“Will you maintain the GTINs in our inventory system?”No. We never touch the inventory system. You get the list of affected items and the target format.
“Will you rebuild our shop template?”No. That belongs with your shop developer, and it is better off there.
“Will you set up our conversion tracking?”No. The audit checks whether it measures cleanly and tells you what to correct. Implementing it happens elsewhere.
“Do you guarantee our suspended account gets reinstated?”No, and nobody honest can. We bring the account into a compliant state and file the request for re‑review. The decision sits with Google.
“The feed changed, please redo the audit.”Happy to, as a new engagement. An audit is a snapshot with an action plan, not ongoing support. That is what the next section is for.
Afterwards

Who makes sure the disapprovals stay away?

New errors appear the moment your catalogue changes. That is normal. There are three honest ways to handle it.

You do it yourself

After the audit you know where to look and what the messages actually mean. For plenty of shops that is entirely enough.

No extra cost

A monthly office hour

We check the account regularly, flag what stands out and talk the next steps through with you. Cancellable monthly.

$390 per month

Cloudginny keeps watch

Our software reads your disapprovals daily and reports them before you go looking. Plus product and brand steering in Shopping and Performance Max.

From $149 per month
Try it free for 7 days
Every feed check includes one month of Cloudginny, every audit includes three. At no extra cost, and you are free to decline. Either way the price stays the same. The consulting works perfectly well without our software.
FAQ

What merchants ask first

What do you need to get started?
An invitation to your Merchant Center and your Google Ads account through the standard user management. No new account, no credentials over email, no software to install. You can revoke the access at any point.
Does this work with my shop system?
Yes. We work inside Merchant Center, and that looks the same whatever runs behind it. Whether your feed comes from JTL, Shopware, Shopify, a feed tool or a custom export changes nothing about our work. It only changes who picks up the tasks that have to be solved at the source.
Is the feed check really without a meeting?
Yes. You grant access, we look inside, and within 48 hours of that access being granted you get the findings in writing: which products are disapproved, what is causing it and what to tackle first. No call required. If questions remain afterwards, we sort them out.
What if you find nothing?
Then that is what the findings say, and you know for certain no money is leaking there. It is rare, but it is a result like any other. The price does not change, because the work was the same.
How much of my time does this take?
For the feed check, a few minutes to send the invitation. For the audit, the 90‑minute handover on top. The actual work happens beforehand on our side, so your meeting is not spent taking stock.
Do I have to use your software?
No. The consulting stands on its own and works fully without Cloudginny. The included free months are an offer, not part of the price: decline them and you pay exactly the same amount.
How does payment work?
You pay for the feed check online by card, right here. The invoice arrives automatically by email, and checkout asks for your Merchant Center ID and shop address straight away so we can start without a detour. Audits and the hands‑on implementation are invoiced after the intro call, because the scope has to be settled first.
How soon can I get a slot?
We deliberately take on a limited number of audits each month so every analysis stays thorough. The calendar has 15‑minute slots for a short intro call where we settle the scope. The feed check runs independently of that and usually starts right away.

In 48 hours you will know what is wrong.

$249 fixed price, one look inside your Merchant Center, one written result. Book an audit afterwards and the amount is credited in full.
